Turn-Based Games
Turn-based games are a category of video games characterized by dividing gameplay into discrete turns, where each player or computer-controlled NPC has the opportunity to act according to their strategy during a single turn. In these games, players make decisions in sequence, allowing careful planning of tactics and strategy before each move, minimizing the element of chance.
A subgenre of turn-based games is turn-based strategy games (TBS or Tactical Turn-Based Strategy), where the focus is on resource management, operational planning, and mission execution. Unlike classic real-time strategy games, TBS requires players to analyze the situation deeply and plan long-term goals. Both types of turn-based games are often characterized by complex mechanics, challenging gameplay, and high replayability.
